Degree in Economics and Business Law (magna cum laude) at the University “L. Bocconi” in Milan.

Degree in Law (magna cum laude) at the State University of Milan.

Enrolled in the Register of Chartered Accountants of Milan and in the Register of Statutory Auditors.

He was a contract professor of financial market law at the law faculty of the University of Brescia from 2006 to 2017. He held the position of Head of the Regulatory Area of ASSOSIM for five years and collaborated with well-known professional firms specialized in the financial and banking sector.

Since the first year of its establishment, he has been a lecturer on the Master's course, which later became a Specialization Course, in Financial Markets Law at the State University of Milan.

He has also been a lecturer at the "Law and Business" Master of "Il sole 24 ore".

Author of articles and publications, he participates, as a speaker, in conferences related to his specialization.

In 2005 he founded the Atrigna & Partners law firm where he is responsible for the area relating to consultancy and opinions on the law of intermediaries and financial markets and anti-money laundering regulations.

He actively participated in the consultation with the Authorities and Institutions in the first drafting and then transposition phase of MiFID, Market Abuse, Prospectuses and anti-money laundering directives.

In particular, he deals with the operational and regulatory aspects related to the regulation of the markets, investment services and collective asset management activity, as well as the relationships between intermediaries (eg primary market activities, sponsors, specialists, operations on the secondary market), therein including the profiles of the regulation of market abuse.

He is also an expert on anti-money laundering, both from a regulatory point of view and from perspective of governance and obligations for intermediaries.

He has held and holds, upon appointment by the Bank of Italy and IVASS, several positions as a member of the extraordinary bodies in distress procedures initiated by the Authority against supervised intermediaries.

He has been a board member, as well as liquidator of financial intermediaries (banking and non-banking).

Author of books and articles published in leading scientific journals in the sector and speaker at conferences related to his specialization.
